Are you in your final year of university or a recent graduate, a change maker or a young professional interested in being trained in a Social Enterprise program in the context of Agricultural Innovations?
DOT Kenya and YCentre Philadelphia will be running an immersive human centered design based Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship program for Kenyan Youth. The program contains a mix of design thinking, success and failure case study breakdown, business modeling suited for impact investment and finally a pitch day to compete for further incubation by DOT in Kenya.
The program will recruit participants either in their final year of university, young graduates, Change-makers and young professionals interested in being trained in Social Enterpreneurhsip in the context of Agricultural Innovation. A key requirement is a passion for agriculture and solving problems in the agricultural sector, those with knowledge in Business or IT will also be considered. Participants of the program can apply as individuals or teams.
The program will be a 4-week engagement program comprising 3 hour class sessions, 4 days a week plus farm visits. There will be scheduled post engagement coaching both online and physically.
Participants will go through the following learning activities; content delivery, personal coaching sessions, immersion experience, protoyping, pitching, publishing of final ideas and incubation.
A fee of Kes. 20,000 will be charged for each participant in the program.
