Are you a young person looking to make a lasting change in Kenya?
Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Kenya is enrolling youth who are motivated to make a lasting and meaningful difference in Kenya. As such we are pleased to launch the Young Social Entrepreneurship Support Competition (YSESC) through which we seek to identify youth who are within 19 – 29 years and are willing to begin social enterprises.
To qualify for the challenge applicants need to send in a 1 page written presentation or a 5 minute (maximum) video by October 27th 2016. Youth are encouraged to register in groups of 2 – 3 individuals. The selected groups will get access to the Social Enterprise workshop where they can get training and support to turn their project ideas into action. The top ideas will get the chance to pitch their ideas and compete for a slot in the national Impactathon Workshop. Winners of the Impactathon will then go on to represent Kenya at the DOT Unconference in Kigali in May 2017 after which they could win a chance to participate in the DOT Kenya SE hub.
