Janet Longmore

Janet Longmore.jpgJanet Longmore is the founder and CEO of Digital Opportunity Trust. An honours graduate of Queen's University School of Business, she has dedicated her career to the creation of innovative approaches to help people in marginalized communities acquire the skills necessary to enter the modern workforce and become self-reliant. A passionate believer in the power and potential of youth and technology, Janet works tirelessly to promote respect for youth as an untapped source of creativity, energies and talent. An accomplished social entrepreneur and mentor, she is a role model for the many women leaders in the DOT network. Among her many awards, she was recently recognized as a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 and an Ashoka senior fellow.

Grant Thomas

Grant Thomas.jpgGrant Thomas is Vice President, Strategic Development at Digital Opportunity Trust. Grant is an experienced management professional with extensive international development experience in many regions of the world. He is a specialist in partnership and joint venture development and has been responsible for millions of dollars of private and public sector investment in developing and transitional economies. He is a former executive in several IT companies, a partner in PriceWaterhouse and he co-led the Acacia Initiative in Africa for Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC). He has been a member of the board of directors of Precarn Incorporated, the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems, Willis College and TeKnoWave Inc.  

Peter Mwangi

Peter Mwangi.jpgMr. Peter Mwangi is the Chief Executive of the Nairobi Securities Exchange. He is also a Director of the Central Depository and Settlement Corporation in Kenya, a Member of the Executive Committees of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) and the East African Securities Exchanges Association (EASEA). Before joining the Exchange, Peter was the Managing Director of Centum Investment. Centum is the largest publicly quoted investment company in the East African region.
Peter has been at the Exchange from November, 2008 to date and he has steered various initiatives which include the demutualisation and self-listing of the Nairobi Securities Exchange and spearheading the implementation of the Growth Enterprise Market Segment (GEMS) for mid cap companies. He has also been instrumental in the development of a Derivatives market as well as the REITS market. Peter is a CFA Charter holder and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nairobi. Peter is also a member of the CFA Institute (USA) and CFA Society of South Africa, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK), the Institute of Directors of Kenya (IOD)(K)), the Institute of Investment Professionals - East Africa (EASIP) and the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).

Fatuma Hirsi Mohamed

Fatuma Hirsi.jpgFatuma Hirsi is a seasoned integrated marketing communications practitioner with over 20 years in the Telecom, Media and Banking industries, building brands, profiling the companies to enhance corporate reputation and creating goodwill from the public through corporate social responsibility. She has worked in various progressive management roles in Kenya Posts & Telecoms Corporation (now defunct), Communications Commission of Kenya, Kencell and Nation Media Group. She is currently the Managing Consultant and CEO of FHM Collaborations LTD, a PR & Communications consultancy. She is currently undertaking her PhD, Communication Studies, Moi University and holds an MBA, Strategy and Marketing from Strathmore Business School and a Post Graduate Public Relations
Diploma from Kenyatta University.

Njoki C. Muhoho

She has specific experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, leadership training, change management, programs' facilitation and executive recruitment and selection in both public and private sectors. Njoki also has a dual career in Media Communications. She is currently the Director of WorkingSmart Skills Ltd and has a background with Price Waterhouse and TACK Training International. Njoki holds a Masters in Mass Communication (Research) Leicester University UK, Bachelor of Education (Business), Kenyatta University, Corporate Governance -Certificate Corporate Governance Institute, Kenya, and Human Resource Development -Certificate Northern Illinois University, USA. She is a member of several Professional Bodies including Institute of Directors - Kenya, Psychometric Tester British Psychological Society: License No. T11971 and Committee Member Kenya Film and Television Professional Association..

Joseph K. Waruingi

Joseph Waruingi.jpgJoseph Waruingi holds an MBA in Strategic Management, Finance and Information Technology and is a management consultant with proven advisory expertise in business analysis and planning, modeling and strategy. He has worked with governments and industry captains in Africa to bring technology enabled efficiencies to governments and businesses. He has consulted for Blue Chip organizations in East Africa in Corporate and Business strategies review and development of IT Strategies and project direction and management of IT transformation projects. He has also developed distinct competencies in public sector donor funded consultancies in Eastern, West and Southern Africa. He is currently the Managing Director Advantech Consulting Limited and is an Advisor in the Technology Partner Network (TPN) of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where he focuses on providing strategic ICT advice to the foundation's global projects as well as its portfolio of global grantees. Nyagiry Nok Bwonditi

Nok Inside 21.jpgNyagiry Bwonditi holds MBAs in Strategic Management and in Banking and Finance and is currently the Executive Director & Head of Domestic Banking (Kenya & East African Cluster-EAC), Ecobank. He has served as the CEO Credit Bank ltd and Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Kenya Commercial Bank (Uganda). He is a member of several professional bodies including Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Kenya Institute of Bankers (KIB), Kenya Association of Economists (KAE) and Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK).

Eunice Maranya

EM.jpgEunice Maranya is a Business, Management and institutional development specialist with over 15 years of banking experience and 7 years of consulting for large donor, private and public sector organizations. She provided valuable consulting work for DOT in 2010 and 2011 and functioned as a management coach for the DOT Kenya management team. She has worked as an independent consultant in several areas in development including DFiD, Danida, UNDPSSC unit, USAID, IFAD projects; financial services sector, corporate and the public sector and has also undertaken several scoping and research assignments. She has sat in the Board of the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) and is now a Board member of the Competition Authority of Kenya .
Eunice holds an MBA from the United States International University (San Diego) and a BSc from the University of Nairobi. She is a member of the Institute of Directors, holds an Auditor SA 8000 Standard: Amana Ltd, Switzerland and is a Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2000: SQML Center, South Africa.
