DOT Kenya Field Officer in the Coast region, Ayshah Maende, was hosted on Sheki FM, a local radio station that hosts young people discussing issues that affect young people within the coastal region of Kenya.

I was to officially open a youth leadership training which was to taking place for a couple of days in one trainings institution in Gede-a small village in the outskirts of Malindi. This is where I met with Jimmy Katana, a presenter at local radio station Sheki FM, and social worker at heart. DOT Kenya Interns encounter all sorts of participants while out in the field. In this article, Bungoma, Kenya-based Intern Winnie Wangulu shares an intriguing tale about a technology savvy participant, Ken Kungu, who has invented a simple robot controlled by his mobile phone.
