The second group of MasterCard Foundation - funded ReachUp! program speak out on their Internship experience

It was a long nine months in the field for the second group of the MasterCard Foundation -funded ReachUp! Program. The facilitators experienced varying successes and challanges as they went about empowering individuals and communities. We talked to some of the Interns and they expressed their views on the progress, their journey and of DOT as an Institution. This is what they had to say;

"Treat people as if they were what they were ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being. DOT, you have treated me as though I were capable of reaching the stars, because of you, I have!" -  Beatrice Okware

"The whole Internship was quite enjoyable, educative and full of people who desired knowledge and above all, I got respect from those who I interacted with. Long live DOT!"  -  Nellie Amai

"I do not seek to understand that I may believe DOT ReachUp!, but I believe that I may understand ReachUp!, for this also I believe, that unless I believe in it, I will not understand it!" - Desai Ogada

"DOT ReachUp! A training that betters Kenya's socio-economic youth"  - Michael Shivachi

"The opportunityof a lifetime is here with us" - Grace Velma Luseno

"Being a DOT Intern, I have learnt that it is important to know each and everyone's differences when it comes to matters affecting the community members as this allows giving appropriate solutions to their issues."  - Sylvia Rotich

"The DOT Internship has been an eye opener, may you continue to touch lives of the communities. Long live DOT!" David Vodohi

"It's one thing to celebrate your internship and another to celebrate your participant applying and passing along new found knowledge almost immediately." - Samwel Kamiri

"A time I enjoyed through each and every moment by encouraging community members to start life changing projects. Bravo to DOT" - Samson Odiembo

"Educative" - Keithlyne Wamocha

"It has been a wonderful experience, the networking, the smiles from the participants and them start up their businesses always made me proud and inspired me each day. DOTting has always been FUNTIME! long live DOT". - Caroline Boraya

"It was an extensive skill development, field work experience for me!" - Sharon Kanaga
